Default Replacing Color Code Decal?

Has anyone had a replica color code decal made for their car? Mine has seen better days and I was hoping that I could get a new one through Sunset since it doesn't have the vin number on it, but apparently it's not available. The part number on mine is 92870116704.

If you have a common colored car you might be able to lift one off of another car. I covered mine with a clear decal for protection. They are very fragile.

I emailed a couple of Porsche restoration places and will post up when I hear back.

Can anyone post of a quality picture of theirs? My car is Black (schwarz) but half the sticker is gone and you can't tell what its suppose to look like.

You'd think with a decent digital photo someone could reproduce a sticker. With Photoshop, I bet they could make it read any color you wanted. But what do I know??

Here ya go. The one in the photo would be IMPOSSIBLE to find. Black will be very easy. Find someone here on the site that visits the dismantlers and have them grab it for you. There are a half dozen black 968s at oklahoma Porsche and you can get the sticker off the other models as well.

Mel, your exactly right. I am hoping for a few people to take some measurements and post some pictures of theirs so I can forward them on to a few places in hopes to get these made. I would use mine but like I mentioned, about half of it is missing already so its not a very good example to go by.

Jeff, do you think it will peel off that easy? Mine seems so brittle now that I think lifting it would just tear it to shreds.

Mel that is an awesome shot of the full lay out, only problem is mine has "WBL" instead of the A1 in the picture.

My upper code also looks like it starts with "74..." and the rest is missing.

I was also thinking instead of a sticker, what if I had a trophy shop or plaque shop replicate the same size/font etc. on a thin metal plate? Thoughts?

That's probably a good idea. At least something that you could have done more easily than trying to have a sticker made. Someone with Photoshop could change that 928 Black Schwartz sticker to have it read what ever you needed it to.
