Rare speed Yellow 968 cab for sale
#31
Oh my 26 yr son & 22 yr old daughter have already told me that I have to get some custom wheels. Son found some black ones with a yellow outter rim that looked incredible. Didn't even look to see if they made any to fit a Porsche. Heck, they were over $1k each, so I'd have to sell my Kinesis wheels for that.
I have a set of aftermarket 17" Cup IIs on my blue 928 right now for when I was planning to autocross last month at Daytona. I'm sure those would fit. I actually love the look of the 16" C-2 wheels, those were on our '90 911 Cab. One of my all time favorite wheels, just wish they were at least 17".
I'd love to try my 18" Kinesis K28Rs on it if they'd fit, but I think the 295s in the rear would require the fenders to be flared and that's too much to think about for now. But the Smoked Chrome finish might look pretty sharp with the yellow.

I bet if you follow the history of that car, one of the previous owners worked at the Raleigh-Durham airport in NC. I am guessing that its the one I used to park next to on a regular basis in the south employee lot while we were doing a fiber project there.

I checked with about a dozen of them. The quality shippers ranged from $1500 to $2000, & the brokers were around $900-1100. The dealer I bought it from said they ship cars every month & quoted me $1395 enclosed. He says he verifies the driver, his record & license. I will find out the name of who he uses next week.
I did not find the 18's to be too harsh.

Yes, this car spent from 01/99 to 02/06(34k to 62k miles) in NC, then it shows as being in CA. Inspection records show Morrisville, Cary, & Chapel Hill, NC. Do you know anything specific about the PO? I'd love to be able to learn more about the car's history from them. So far, the dealer is somewhat sketchy in their info in that regard.

Nice!!!!!!!!! Too bad about the fog light, mine had a hole punched through it from a rock when I bought it and the new replacement cost $450! What's funny is that the jack point is visible below the rocker panel in your first picture. I'd not seen that on 968's before but it looks that way on mine too...
Anyway, the interior and engine bay appear to be in good shape. She's gonna need some 17" Cup II's for sure though.
