Also, if you're getting the 968 M030 suspension, I'd suggest you get the Lindsey Racing 968 M030 rear sway bar instead of the Porsche OEM version, as it's the same price and has more adjustment.

Or, if you're a real stickler for OEM, you can still get the Lindsey bar and we'll trade!

You made the rigth choice, very nice car, suggested mods if I may -Euro signals ligths /& a SC steering wheels will look good with your black interior .Don't over modified the car a Chip/mod air boxe maybe ,suspension don't turn your car into a bones breaker choose something that you will be confortable with on the sreet where you gone to spend 90% of driving time. Most important is to keep maintenance up to date.ENJOYE

+ 1 Ernayyy. with the potholes we have in america now (haven't been to Canada) (they're also a bit crazy up there during hockey season, so if you go, wear a crash helmet).... unless you live in California, Texas or Florida, go stock suspension all the way. + 1 on never chipping the car. The limiter is already set plenty high.

haha I will definitely keep that in mind. I actually have a factory adjustable 21mm rear sway for a 951 turbo cup that I may throw on there when everything else is on to see how it feels. Otherwise I will stick with the proper 19mm.

Ernie, you already read my mind! My more complete list of upgrades includes the following:

-968cs steering wheel
-Euro front signals
-Euro rear bumper without the bumperettes
-Adjustable rear spoiler
-Front Splitter
-993rs or 3.6 Speedlines
-M030 Conversion
-Leather Recaro Pole Positions
-Big Reds

And I plan on doing a full undercarriage/engine cleaning and having anything tarnished re-zinced etc.

I'd planned basically the same list for my 968 but time and money aren't cooperating. Good luck!

Colin, congrats! That's a nice ride, I hope you enjoy it.

If you're still interested in the 968 m030 rear coilover koni shocks, I still have them.

That list of mods will a sweet 968 make - keep us posted.

Colin, I'm glad my X is in good hands. You'll see from the pictures on Killboy at Tail of the Dragon that some M030 sways will do the car well. She's leaning pretty good in some of those corners.

I've enjoyed my 968 ownership and will be back in another P-car eventually. Yall have fun.

Thanks! It's amazing how different the M3 and 968 are for having very similar power output, and both being considered some of the best handling cars. I think the M3's seem much more powerful down low in the revs and want to rev all day long. I think the M3 seems to have much shorter gearing which is probably a big part of it it. The 968 doesn't fully come to life until higher up in the RPM. The 968 is more solid feeling as far as build quality goes and is definitely more planted feeling in the corners.

As far as M3 sedan vs. coupe, they are pretty similar. I have had both and will admit the coupe looks more aggressive in most situations. I actually wanted a sedan this go around though as it seems more solid, doesn't creak and rattle as much as the coupe which has to do with its fully framed doors, and I really like the low slung sleeper look. My dad wanted a coupe, and its fun to have one of each around.

A quick pic of the two...

I think M3 sedans are always cooler than the coupe versions.
