First time I ever saw this colour on a 968, could not even find a photo of one before.
Rare indeed, but what do you think of it this colour?

Cool, is the car a color to sample car? There is a summer yellow North American 968 as well but I don't recall it looking like that.

The N.A. Summer Yellow Car is a 1970's shade of summer yellow color to sample. I'm guessing the above 968 is the same summer yellow used on the 944 Turbos. Same name, diff. color.

 

A childhood friend had a 944S in factory Summer Yellow, that he bought from Lake Underwood (SCCA Speedster champ) in his defunct dealership in Maplewood, NJ.

 

Nice looking 968, but I'm not a fan of the color. It reminds me of a similar yellow available on the E36 M3. I always thought that it looked too washed out.



That being said, it's always cool to own a rare color Porsche.

 

I think that's called Dakkar Yellow... I only know that because my brother loves that color on the M3. Personally I don't that color, or body.

The summer yellow 968 shown looks cool! I tend to like solid colors. I think it just works really well on the 968's curves! Thanks for posting.

Rdanford: Your 951 is the only summer yellow 944/968 series I have seen before this one (Live or photo), so your car was an inspiration sure, since it looks ace!

That BMW colour I also don't like, and yes they are very similar. I think Audi also have one similar, that doesn't hold too well over time.
Colour wise I'd choose Horizon blue over Summer yellow, but when you throw in the rareness factor, I'm not sure. What do you guys think?

Yes, rarity.... I wish I didn't care about such things. I wonder how much it affects my preferences.

Sunroof delete is my favorite option (without any regard to rarity - I just love having no leaky noisy sunroof). Those are a couple of choice cars! Where are you located?

 

Those are beautiful pictures. I do like the summer yellow color as well.

Did you take those pictures in Norway? The first picture looks a lot like an old church I visited near Bergen.
