Just something I'm thinking about Raj.
I looked up the cost of the Big Reds from the 928 GTS for a direct application. Calipers and cross drilled rotors are quoted at ~$1300 for the full set. Seems like a pretty good deal all things considered unless someone has a better line on these?
Also...looking for info on the exact placement of the NACA ducts on the hood.

I have a set of 996tt monoblocks with drilled rotors, hardware, even a large spare, that I would sell for less than $1300. Extremely low miles on the set, almost new. Send me a PM, it's 1am and I'm going to bed.

Well I'm no expert, so you should double-check everything I say, but from what I've gathered the "big reds" and "big blacks" are the same caliper, and the black ones came on the 928 GTS, and the famous big reds came on the 993tt. The 928 S4 and 968 m030 use a slightly smaller caliper, which was also black. The stock 993 uses a caliper slightly smaller than the 928 S4 and 968 m030. The stock 968, 951, 964, etc uses an even smaller caliper, which I think people call the "baby blacks", which is funny because they might be small in Porsche standards, but they are not small generally speaking.
For fitment on a 968, any caliper except for stock will require an adapter (and it's the same adapter for all of those other calipers). I think the adapters run about $250-300. You will also need new rotors and pads, and possibly wheels. I think the stock brake lines work.
996 monobloc calipers (which is what I have) are smaller than big reds in size but they provide comparable braking power, and weigh a lot less. They are 1 solid piece of aluminum (as opposed to two halves bolted together) which is a big plus. Anyway I'm sure I missed something or got something wrong so someone please correct me.

Thanks for the info Damian.
I don't recall the 968 offset off the top of my head. Do you happen to recall the offset the wheels you now have came with?
Again - thanks for the information. I'm leaning to this as a future mod to my project (somehow being able to go faster requires being able to stop faster too!).

And I don't recall the offsets on the Supercups either, sorry.

I actually have a set of brand new adapters in case someone is looking. At one point I had bought big blacks and adapters for the cab, then I realized it only makes 236hp and gave up on the additional weight from big reds, rotors and the additional rotating mass.
I returned the calipers but still have the adapters.
