Default Pickup Truck

968 coupe owners all know that we have the REAL Porsche pickups

Well, except for these guys!

Tell you what, though...if Porsche ever made a limited-edition Cayenne pickup, I bet people just might buy it. Would be weird, that.

If Porshce is smart, they could kill two birds with one stone. They could simply cut the rear end of the Panamera off to make a truck and also silence all of the critics that call the rear of that car "ugly".

(while admiring in person, I am not one of those critics who call it ugly)

I was surprised how big the front trunk on the Cayman is. I think that I could fit in there...

I thought the whole point of having a pickup was to haul parts for, or tow, the Porsche when it stops working. If the pickup itself IS the Porsche, then yer in trouble.

Well that's the thing, I used to use the Land Cruiser to tow the 968 to the track on a trailer. Now that the trailer's gone, the 968 is it's own support vehicle, and while it does an admirable job of being a truck, I worry sometimes about what would happen if it suffered a mechanical failure. Of course, I know that if I still had the trailer, it would be a big pile of rust by now, and I don't really have room for it anyway...but still, I miss having it.

I had to laugh when I started to read this post. Just the other night I went to the grocery store and came out with a ton of bags. I opened the hatch and started to load everything in the back. From out of no where I hear this woman's voice ask me if the seats went down, I replied of course. I spent the next several minutes explaining to this complete stranger in the middle of the parking lot about the 968. She was amazed at how much stuff I could put in the back of the trunk. I told her that was nothing, one time I had to pick up three of my buddies and there mountain bikes when they got stranded out in the middle of no where. Needless to say, everyone got home with no problems. She even mentioned that it had more leg room then her son's pickup. LOL.
