Another P5 color. Jeff, I see you mention script seats, are they in limited production?

Script seat inserts were actually standard equipment on the 968 but most ordered partial leather so they are quite rare. Check this page for all the interior production details.

http://968register.org/interior-mate...configuration/

Script is so rare that only 4 of the 299 P5 white coupes had cloth interior. Your car with that interior in that color (code BJ) is so rare it is a 1 of 1, I'm guessing we are looking at PS820557.

Yes, that's my car. Anything else you know about it? I still have the original CR-2 radio that I reinstall for concours. And the window sticker.

You mean CD-2. That is a great piece.

Your car:
#1,146 of 2,234 1992-95 NA coupes
#497 of 608 1993 coupes

Factory options:
XD4 painted crest center caps
691 CD-2 in dash am/fm single CD
490 hi-fi sound with amps (10 speakers)

March 1993 build date.

Yes, CD-2 Radio, someone rearranged the keys on my keyboard when I was typing :->

3/93 build date matches vehicle stickers.

The sticker in the trunk lists some other codes, Per your magic decoder section of the Registry:
13951 - ?
15801 - "would mean deviated carpet to black", but my carpet is grey?

Two items on the window sticker carry $75 prices:
- "LTHTT piping - front- std color" (this I would presume is code 13951), does LTHTT mean "leatherette". What would be different from standard?
- "Deviating carpet - std color" (this i would presume is code 15801). What would be different from standard?

Those are the 5 digit interior code options. I don't have them in my database and they are rare. I do have info on some of them here:

http://968register.org/special-interior-options/

As for your car, the 13951 is the deviating seat piping in standard colors. Your car has the light grey/classic grey interior. The seats would come standard with a light grey piping to go with the rest of the seat. In the case of your car someone ordered the piping in classic grey. Looks fantastic. And only $75! LTHTT would be leatherette.

15801 is the deviated carpet option. Again, with the light grey/classic grey interior the standard carpet would have been light grey in color! Almost white. Someone optioned it out with the "much more practical" classic grey carpet. This extends to the carpet on the bottom of the doors too. My old cab had this option as well.

I would love to have a photo of your window sticker and vehicle information sticker and your interior for the registry database. If you can grab a couple of shots for me and send them to Jeffery.coe@snet.net I would appreciate it.

You have a very special 968 there!

True that, all 4,242 of them. That said, some are just a "little more" special

4,242 North American 968s produced (2,008 cabs, 2,234 coupes).

If he just visited the registry web site he would know that!
