Phone dials aren't ugly, they're just dated. Also, I remember one day I was staring at a phone dial and I suddenly saw a new way of looking at it that made it look like the predecessor of the 968 16" cup. Put them side by side and stare, you will see it.

Hell yeah! I've seen em both ways too. But still focus on the origional view with the holes as the focus point. But if you focus on the spokes, the wheel definately gives off a totally different look.

i love the 997 wheels. just not in 19". no Porsche wheel should be 19" ever.
there is a copy-cat, aftermarket wheel in the current 997 style in an 18" wheel. win.
not Porsche.

I NEVER understood why the 16" 968 wheel is called a cup 1. There is already a cup 1 and it's the 17" wide spoke version as offered on 965s and early 968s. One name per wheel! And I think they look really cool. They just look too small for a 968. Put them on a 944 and they look great! IMHO

Cup 1 16" = C2 5 Spoke
Cup 1 17" = C2 Turbo
Cup 2 17" = 993 Cup

I might put them on, I don't know, a VW Typ 2? That might look good

Hmmmmm still not my favorite, but I'll concede that you make an excellent point. They look much better on a 944 than a 968, and they're not in any way offensive (unlike phone dials).
