Uh.
I don't like how that guy has 1/3 of all the rare cars on the planet.
What the hell for?
I think he owns all the McLaren GT's.
And most of the McLaren LM's.
But I also don't like people who barely drive there cars too.
I don't know what his driving habits are, but I seriously doubt he drives them all.![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Edit: he has over 5,000 cars!

Here's all I really want to know: Does he have a staff to maintain them? Porsche has a very specific maintenance program for their museum, involving periodically lubricating and turning over the engines, shifting the wheel bearings, and driving them once in a while.
If in fact he has a staff doing this, I say it's great. Sooner or later he's going to die and maybe as many as 7000 of the greatest cars in the world are going to go up on the market, probably at greatly depressed prices.

I believe he is more of a car hoarder than a collector at this point. Hopefully the cars he owns are sold one day and not just burned or buried in the desert.
He own's 3 of the 5 (6 including the factory prototype) McLaren F1 LM's. Ralph Lauren owns 1, and I'm not sure who owns the last one.

Brunei got LM1, LM4 and LM5
Mclaren factory still has LMXP1 the prototype
Ralph got LM3
And LM2 is still with Yoshio Tsuzuki

Its his brother who actually has more cars than sultan himself, or had. Some years ago when oil price dropped they had financial problems. Oil in Brunei isn't chapest to extract and when barrel price goes below certain point wells in there have to be shut down. This caused financial crisis to brothers and banks they had loaned money against future oil income took over large part of the car collection. These banks then tried to offload them to RHD markets they could like New Zealand. There has already been many auctions and cars have also been sold to high end car dealers. Problem with many of the cars is that they were kept in non airconditioned garages and Brunei is very humid place. This caused rotten interiors and broken ecu boxes. Though some have gotten really good looking low mileage cars out of there its fact that they are RHD which is last limiting factor. And they aren't all that special. For example those four 968 do have options but nothing really out of the ordinary.
