I just picked up a 968 or a project build, and i was looking to get the front end looking more aggressive. It looks a bit too "soft" in my opinion and it was recommended that i swap out the front end with a 994 Turbo front end to get the aggressive look. I've looked around and havent seen really seen anything.
Naturally i dont want to tear up the front end needlessly, and i know that i can do a 993 headlight swap out to get it looking a little better, but i was wondering if anyone had any advice or recommendations on any front end kits that would make the car look more aggressive? I plan on using the bolt on flared fenders on the car, similar to the KMR 968 turbo car too, so im even open to track kits.
looking forward to your recommendations.

sounds very interesting as well as challenging. i'll be doing the 993 headlamp project at some point,
and something very similar to a 997 for the lower front valence.
i didn't get to it this year yet. but, coming soon.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Odurandina, did you ever finish your front bumper? Unless I missed something, it appears the last post on that was back in 2009. Pardon the ignorance if I missed something.

sorry about the thread hijack. i've done about 40 other things to the car since i posted that last year. the cold came on at that time and it got shelved. i've been sidetracked with some other stuff, but as soon as i'm back down in Ft. Lauderdale it's getting done.
originally, what happened was i was driving in on a very dark road after a thunderstorm and the windshield was soaked... couldn't see very well and missed seeing part of big branch in the middle of the road. i smacked it real good cracking the bat wing... then a few weeks later i was racing a Pontiac G8. and at about 160 mph the batwing came loose and ripped the whole bottom section of my front bumper right off the car. oops. one hell of a bang.
i searched ebay for a couple of weeks and that's what i came up with. i figure it will take a few days to get it started, build the belly pan, etc. once it's mounted to the car then the finish work... we'll be using 3m bmi matrix resin... right from the Boeing assembly line. it's the strongest resin in the world. just like duramix but considerably stronger. my friend also pulled a few tubes of the Hexcel resin, but the stuff is compatable with the 3m **** so it should be fine.

I figure your car will look something like this

Pretty nice in my opinion, and leaves a lot of room for a nice big intercooler if you decide to turbo your car! : ) . I was just wondering if there is anything else readily available out there in the market, before i start venturing into custom work. I quite like the look, but i'd be worried about the work that would need to be redone if i ever got into a fender bender.
Got into one with my custom 964, and am now paying the price. Lots of reshaping needed to be done as the front bumper was trashed and the hood was crumpled up. Luckily the fenders didnt take any damage, they had the most work done to them!
As you can see in the photos below, its doesnt look like a 964, and it doesn't quite look like a 993 either. Modern and sleek in its own unique way with the bumper and the angle on the lights.

I always liked my version. ;-p I looked at getting it prototyped and molded but the cost was prohibitive.

both of those are amazing photoshops......
in reference to post # 6 i saw those aftermarket lips on ebay and they looked challenging to mount to the 968. when i started eying the 997, i liked it because it was a little more subtle, and it's bottom structure was extensive. so it'll be easy to cradle it with a solid piece of sheet aluminum.
if it was my choice i'd have Tim in Alabama help out on this one. lol.

wow !! Ernie, can you post a link ? my Hungarian could use an upgrade.
imagine if they had built the 968 for a few more years. the lower valence on our cars truly does suck.
and maybe a few half dozen other things could have been improved.
and more cars with turbos of course.

I wouldn't expect to like a "flatnose" 968 in the style of the flatnose 930, but somehow this is really working for me!
I'm assuming that the projectors down in the front bumper would just be re-purposed to hold bixenon main lights for low beam/high beam functionality without anything in the fenders?
The idea of dividing the lower intake into two sections looks good, although maybe it should have a splitter? Not sure about that.
The other thing I like is the idea of flaring the bumper directly ahead of the front tires so that the tread is not exposed to the air stream, like with the factory front bumper.
