will do.
settling in now.....
i've put 11k miles on the Sledgehammer.... including,
cruising the LA basin for a month,
two completed transcon drives,
a trip up the west coast to Monterrey.....
and four 400 mile runs between LA and Phoenix....
last one was a few days ago,
returned last night..... now kickin' it in nippy Malibu.
damn LA heat is GONE. the nights are COLDDD
outside of a few negative nancy moments that turned up to be little more than minor crap/adjustments....
it's rather unsettling.... feeling close to 944/968 nirvana -
no breakdowns/no problems really
save for:
pulling into a shop in Glendale, CA last week to repair to a solid AC line (should be a permanent fix).
cooked brake rotors in UTAH (from going very fast for hours in the mountains).
and i still got no heat (yet).
time to to upgrade the fuel pump, soon as as i can get Doug Bray to open the tool shed.

that is one seriously huge mutherf_cker of a tool shed.
so big in fact, that some nights a snoring tiger (bugwagon) rests inside.
oh, and hey Spencer.
no more de-lam.

thanks Gretch....
just a quick update;
1. changed oil and filter
2. we had the front GTS brake rotors turned.
i cruised over to Doug's place today, and (he) got a few things done;
3. raised idle 150 rpm to eliminate the 'dead spot' when accelerating from stop lights @low throttle and to allow smoother gear changes.
4. hung out w/ Doug's family, kids, etc and chowed a huge chicken sandwich.
car is very steady. first 14 k miles have been an absolute joy.
flying home for Xmas..... to do list for when i return to LA;
1. fix the no heat problem
2. install the bigger fuel pump (been slow doing this because it ain't like the current pump is broken....)
3. a few minor cosmetic fixes.
4. change out the caster blocks (@ 20k miles it'll be 'time.' keeping them fresh will likely reduce the beat down on the other stuff (+ the car rides better).

Any chance this thing got Borla mufflers? I saw a fantastic 3,2 race car with a Borla at a local speedshop. Owner of shop says it is all he uses. This thread showed up in my quick search. LOL.

I gave Eric two wider Borla resonators, but he vetoed them.
can't imagine how quiet the car would be if he'd installed them.
not sure what those are. probably magnaflows.
the big rear muffler is made by Vibrant Performance.

I think i finally know why i don't have heat.
My #29 fuse is blowing from a short....
no turbo defrost and no temperature control dial functionality.
regular heat/AC fan works fine - and radiator fluid IS circulating through the heater core.
before it's over how much will need to be taken apart to chase down the short??

I don't believe the car will run hot anymore.
Doug kicked motherbleeping *** today.....
AC condensor removed (it's nice, it's new and it's now for sale)
Huge 16" pusher fan installed.... airflow is massive.
hopefully no more hotty engine when stuck on the Golden State Freeway on the hot summer day/s.

i got my feet wet on this wide curvy road up from Doug's house doing these wide, sweeping, 300' burnouts...
i wonder if the 960 could surpass the easy feeling of my 3,100lb castoff in full drift.

25k miles on the Sledgehammer since September 1, 2015.
LOL.
sorry i was in such a hurry.
i achieved a very short rest later that night.
i got gypped on gas in NJ yesterday when i was unable to pump my own gas.
i asked for premium and was reminded why i only use 93 octane.
it just makes the engine run so smooth and quiet.
90 octane is the highest available at many stations in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.
engine really runs like crud on anything less than 91.
gotta remember to add acetone if i'm forced to run crap.
