Never seen this but I wouldn't be put off by it as long as all the other documentation and stickers on the car match. I would be more concerned that the car looks it was white and repainted. What color does paint code say the car is?.. just curious

Someone made mistake at production line and first stamped it with US model VIN and later changed it to ROW VIN. Its not unique case but its rare. Triangle stamping next to later VIN is Porsche trademark which probably means change was done at the factory.

I remember you saying that previously but that is not correct. Our North American 968s only have the same VIN throughout the car including the engine compartment VIN and it is the NA 968 VIN.

Really? AFAIK all other period models have ZZZ in body. This must have changed at some point. What about late 944 and 951?
