No, they are from a polar silver 1995 M030 968 coupe. It was up for sale. They are incredibly comfortable (I sat in it). Note, the car did not have a center console lid as well. (1 of 16 NA 968s like that).

Generally the split is 92/93 and 94/95, but they were rolling changes, like going from Cup 1 17" to Cup 2 17".

The 993 Pattern started (in the u.s. at least) with 1994.5 cars. Late 94's and all 95's have that seat pattern. The 92, 93, & early 94 cars have the earlier 964 style seats.

Damian,
From an option code perspective it was a hard cutover. The 17" Cup1s all have code 403. The 17" Cup2s all have option code 398. You only find 403 on 92-94.5 968s and 398 on 94.5 - 95s.

In ROW cars change was clear. '92-93 have Cup I and '94-95 have Cup II. Same thing with interior changes, available color options etc. In US models M718 option messes things up somewhat.

So true, but as long as you know where the 718 cars stop and the non-718 cars begin it all makes since. And the registry knows....

I don't doubt that at all, but this was a Porsche 968- with recessed hood emblem, rear badge, underhood trim pieces, exhaust tips, and wheels among others being added/deleted/changed-I'd say anthing that happens inside a model year can be considered a rolling change. I guess, just like the 85.5 944's getting the oval dash, they did what they wanted to do!

Jeff, are you sure that car is Violet Blue Metallic? I looked at the one that's on sale in Atlanta (http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/1745834875.html) last month, and it's much lighter than this car. I suppose it could have an all-over fade in the paint, but it definitely looked like a lighter purple.
That Atlanta car is nice, by the way. If only I could talk the wife into...

Could you explain what you mean by this? You would expect to be able to sell the "MIX MC" plate to someone for that amount?

Porsche circles are really small in here. Last I spoke on the phone with Olli was maybe week ago. He was working on 968 cab previously owned by a friend who still owns few 928's. Automatic GTS is in same friends garage.

Wow that's a nice color. I've never actually wanted a purple car until now!

But do you _really_ think someone's going to fork over 10K just so their car says "MIX MC"?
