Default Dancing on The Dark Side

Guys,

I've decided I need a street car in the stable...It's one thing to have a race car; but it's another to have one you can drive on the street, too!

So, I've bitten the bullet...just got a '96 993 C-4 Cab...Silver with black...one of the last of the air-cooled flat sixes.

You know, it's got the same 6-speed trans...and the front end looks very familiar, too!

The race car will still represent the mark at NASA races around the East; but I wanted something to tool around on the weekends.

Don't hate me...

Jason

If you bought a 996, then perhaps.

993's are great cars, fantastic engines. I look forward to driving my wife's 993 Targa.

Congratulations and best of luck.

Mike,

I keep it at Speedwerkes in Nyack...They have at least 3 968's there that are raced on a regular basis...plus they do a whole host of stuff for street cars, too!

Even 993's!!

I wouldn't mind a 993 coupe as a daily driver.

You could make a strong argument that 993s are soundly better cars than 968s (o****, gonna get drummed out of the 968 section )

I mean 968s are one of the prettiest, most timelessly styled, best handling models that Porsche ever produced, and the culmination of a design evolution...and the exact same thing is true of the 993!

However...who says you can't daily drive a race car???

So long as you're a complete lunatic, of course

For me you need a hard roof over my head for a daily driver, and a nice 964/993 would be a nice car.

I hate to admit but our cars are dropping in value, and are getting older and harder to spend money on when you know you won't get it back! And I have two 968's...Armor on lol

Hopefully you wont try to install one of those hidden hitches to take both in race days!

Congrats... enjoy... sounds nice...
