Damian,

The Speed Yellow Door Cards and Shift ****/Boot came on the car as "special wishes" options.

How these items read on the Window Sticker:

LTHR DOOR PANELS MATCHING INT $267.00
SHIFT LVR ****/BOOT IN LEATHER $227.00

The "button/top" of the shift **** is also in Speed Yellow Leather with the shift pattern. It's kewl how Porsche could expertly cover anything in leather!

The shift boot discolored a bit with age. I removed it intending to treat the leather with Speed Yellow leather polish, but have never gotten to it

Funny, those options were under $500 then but make the car priceless now(besides mileage, ect.).

Very nice, I have never heard of the "special wishes" program. Is SW listed on the window sticker? Where did you hear it?

Thanks
Jeff

Here's a pic of my Speed Yellow C2S next to my ex "Himberot" Red 968.

Speed Yellow is a bit "tamer" than Ferrari "Fly Yellow." That said, I like both

Very nice, that would be A7 Raspberry here in North America, 6 cabs produced in that color (including the movie car), I don't have the coupe production totals, yet....

Just searched and came up with this.
How rare is the summer yellow 968? Are you saying that only 1 car was made with this color?
Do we have any pictures of summer yellow 968's? It seems to rarer than signal green?

Summer yellow was not actually a standard factory offering on the 968. That said, we know that NA 968 SS820318 is indeed painted in summer yellow. The reason is because it is a code 98 car, color to sample solid. It was the only North Amercian color to sample solid 968 coupe produced (they made 9 code 99 color to sample metallic 968 coupes). So it is rare but it is still not as rare as a signal green car because Porsche did not even sell one signal green 968, coupe or cab, in North America. There are a few 1 of 1 coupes as far as exterior color goes.
