Auto Salon Singen had white TS for sale almost 10 years ago. It had seen better days and looked like it had been used a lot at Nurburgring tourist drive days or something similar. IIRR they were asking only around 20k Euros at todays money. Not that far above last 944 Turbo prices for example. Should have bought it but can't stand white color on any car and let it slip. Wonder where it is now.

That car was indeed in a bad shape. But it was interesting because it was the very first 968TS ever (001). It is supposed to be in greece now.

I like the brake cooling ducts on the white car-was that a Motorsport part for 968's, or adapted from the 964 part? With Big Reds I don't need brake ducting, but it sure looks cool.

Damian,

I think those front air ducts are a 993 part. The 968/993 front lenses are pretty much (if not exactly) the same size.

Richard, from memory people who have tried 993 clear corner lens replacement had fitment issues, they're close but not exact.

993 didn't exist at the time when those ducts were first used in 968. Part should really be called 968 in 933 instead of 993 in 968 but similar design was used in 964 even before 968 IIRR.

From all the factory and other photos of the S and RS it doesn't look like any were delivered with the ducts-so is that a genuine 968 S or RS part, or an adapted 964 part?

Its hard to say what is original and what not so long after production ended. I think at least special 964 Turbo S lightweight used those ducts in '93 MY so they were not not first seen in 993. Can have been in use even before that.

Two versions of the duct were made for the 968 nosed Flachbau 965's, one a TechArt piece. I'll see if it's a listed TechArt piece.

That flatnosed 965 with the 968 headlamps is one of my favorite Porsches. The 965's "DNA" is readily apparent in the front fender treatment of the 993.
