993 board 'early sport seat' thread
#3
Were I to track the car it would be a different story; I've been in a CS with the lightweight seats and it's obviously much more secure, but pointless in a daily driver. I thought long and hard about putting in CS seats painted to match my car color (and as a cab entry and egress isn't as bad with the top down) but the non adjustability isn't worth it.
But we all make choices that make sense to each of us individually.

Personally, I think the sport seats prior to the 993 were the best sport seats available for street cars, ever. I haven't bought a Porsche without sport seats because I feel they're essential to the driving experience. I know that a number of the Porsche magazines out there feel the same.
I love the look of the 993 sport seats and almost influenced which 968 we purchased. I don't really care for how the newer 996 and GT3 seats feel. I don't care for the 996 seats b ecause regardless of how many ways you can adjust them they never feel "right". The GT3 seats are good, just not for a long trip.
