Default USA 1993 Coupe needs seat re-cover

My '93 has a driver's seat that needs major work. I've lost older bookmarks for possible covers or reupholstery kits.

All I can find right now is World Upholstery, and I know there are other vendors.

Honestly, a slipcover option would be great, given the state of my budget right now.

Anyone care to post links or recommendations for other sites and options?

By the way, I learned in my research that jovid.com, which I recall as the 928-centric specialty store which made the great fuel-rail lettering for our cars, has gone out of business. Or have they moved?

http://www.928leathershop does good work and will make anything you want in almost any color. If you're looking to source factory colors, you might try buying 993 seats...

Your link is bad, but I know you meant these guys. Thanks! I've been trying to remember them without success.

Anyone know of decent covers? I can't afford the 928leathershop option right now.

There are some decent covers on ebay that go for $200-400. Your picture doesn't look that bad, is it so damaged that you want to recover it *now*??

Any photos of my car in at the websites linked in my sig are years-old now; the driver's seat has now broken though, seriously so.

Thanks for the eBay tip! I'll check it out.

You may consider taking it to your local upholstry shop and see if
they can replace just the damaged panel.
I'm getting ready to do this on my 951.

John, I had autosintl.net (advertiser in Pano) do a set for my old cab a few years ago. They came out great. About $500 per seat and I had a local installer put them on.

John, you might want to try Automat here on Long Island - http://www.autointeriors.biz/ - fairly local and fair pricing... Donn C.

FWIW I got mine from World Upholstery. Occasionally they put them up on ebay. Sometimes fols don't pay, or order the wrong color...etc.
Either way, the quality is top notch.
You might also check locally for a custom shop.

As of now I've decided to let my local shop replace the two panels that are in the worst shape. He'll do that for $300.00 inclusive. Far from the perfect fix, but it fits my budget.
