Shamus,
Thanks for the heads up. Those are gone, and they are Cup 2's not Cup 1's.

I would have liked to have found those before I found the three Cup 1's I have (two rears and a front) After all that's the second set of 968/928 Cup 2's I've seen since I started looking.

Dave

My bad - I just assumed you were looked for cup II (my bias).

What is the 61M at the end of the part number ? Is that unique to the US ?

I thought Cup 1 part number for the 7.5inch front is 965.362.124.05. See this link (click on Felgengewichte under infromation)

There are some for sale on Craigslist here in Tulsa. Not sure the width or offset but worth a call.

pipingken1, I do not know if the 61M is a US deal or not, it is listed in the 968 parts catalog on page 601.00 and it is on the one rim I do have. Would be interesting to find out if it is missing from non-US.

968Geb,already talked to him and no not the right ones. But, thanks for the heads up.

Done some digging around. The 61M simply means 'Metallic Silver'

So I do have a17"x 7.5" wide et65 front for sale in refurbed condition (so the silver may not match your silver) part number 965.362.124.05 ......but in the UK.

I can post a pic at the weekend if your interested.

Pipingken1,
I had originally found the part number from something else but looking at the parts catalog, your right, it is clearly the color.

Shipping would be hard on my "dusty" wallet

I recently contacted Porsche regarding this wheel and they refer to it as the 993 cup wheel. These wheels are still available from the dealer for $709/ea. and there are only 70 left in Germany.

Little did I know they were only used on the 968 and 928 from mid 94 to late 95. A similar wheel may have been used on the later 993 Turbo, [but w/ ET55 and different p/n].

I'm also looking for one 7.5x17 to complete a set. I lost one wheel due to a nasty road hazard. After searching for a month with no luck I ended up buying 4 wheels, [complete set] just to get my car back on the road.

I believe the 993 cup wheels are 7" wide Cup 2s. You do see people use the 993 wheels on the 968 as they seem more available than the 7.5" wide wheel fitted to the 968 (the rears are the same)

The Cup 1 wheels (965.362.124.05 for 7.5" wide) were fitted to the 968 cs upto the end 93/early 94 after that they changed to the Cup 2 wheels, sizes and offsets all the same but a different shape.

That one is for Grun_RS as it is a Cup2. I sent him a PM.

Thanks for the heads up! That one would of been perfect if it were a Cup1.

Cheers,

Found it.
Actually I'll end up with one extra front.

That gives me the chance to refinish the best ones and have a spare.

Thanks for the help.
