Default Porsche 968 Price is Right.

Okay now, no peeking at the answers. I posted last week about a friend who's 968 was repaired badly, bodyshop-wise. One of the things the shop did was break the upper cabriolet quarter panel cladding. This is the 4' plastic piece that is held on by adhesive and goes around the gas filler area on the exterior of the car. Just for ha-has I priced a new one from Porsche. What do you think?

Hopefully the used price is less than half. But lord knows that sourcing cabrio-only parts is EXPENSIVE

What's broken on the original piece? I have successfully repaired plastic with Lord Fusor 101EZ that I can get at my local automotive paint supply store. I've used it to bond two different types of plastic fenders together on my Formula (1995 upper fender, 1998 lower fender vent).

Fender before:

Fender after:

I even used the stuff to do my T-top conversion.

The shop broke the piece in two at the gas filler opening. They tried to fix and it looks terrible. The opening is now "out of round". I'll post a photo. I guessed $250 so I was way low. There is not much to the piece (same piece on the 944 cab) but getting it off takes some skill. Road trip to Porsche dismantlers in GA
