I came back to London last week, Im happy to report that my 968 behave perfectly, only a minor vacuum leak near the FPR, while going up to Stelvio's Pass in Italy, quickly diagnosed since the vacuum gauge in the cubby hole gave me tell tell sign. Other than that and even with alot of heat in Florence like 50 Celsius !!
, the car gave no problems whatsoever, and drinked about 1.5 L of Oil, for this summer i gave a try to Silkolene 10w-50 and liked it very much, oil pressure was perfect all the way.
The route was London to Chur (Switzerland), then Davos to Stelvio's Pass (Italy), then to Venice, Florence, Nice, St Tropez ,Barcelona arriving in Lisbon. In Lisbon i rebuilt the Torque Tube only to wish never to do it again, and to find a couple of noisy bearings( *** 6006zz C5 clearance ) that were replaced by SKF 6006ZZ C3, well see how well they hold up. no other work was done on the car this year (last year rebuilt the engine completly). For those who are wondering, the fuel comsuption was normal like 8.5l to 9l mixed driving in city and highway, im very happy with the Promax 7700rpm chip, nice bump in torque from low revs. Theres alot more to tell, but at the moment it skips me...
I recomend to everyone if ever coming to europe, try the north of Italy for a nice drive.

Dont get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with the TT,but since im from Lisbon, 2 of my best mates have a garage shop there, so i just get the car in there and go about attending to my 968, ive planned on doing the TT rebuild since march,i enjoy very much working on her. Also theres a correction on the initial post, there was a prob with the car, one day out of nothing the car started to act funny, like the rev counter was all over the place, and not in sync with the engine, 5 min later the car dyed, it would start, idle, and reverse, but everytime i would engage 1st the engine would cut out it and dye...
so after 30min scratching my head, i thought, "Ok the rev counter picks up signal from the flywheel sender, and the fact that it starts, idles, and reverses... means that the body of the car was twisting and making a intermitent short circuit..." and once i looked at the rubber boot on the flywheel plug, the answer easy, the ground wire was shorting with the power wire coming from the sensor, old wiring insulation... go figure.
