Is it new or used?

I have a question about engine covers. From what I've read, the front engine cover with the storage for gloves and rags was only available on the early cars, is this correct? I'm looking at a 95 for sale, has the 993 seats, Porsche 968 scripts on rear but also has the front engine cover with glove and rag storage. The car appears to be original (I've only looked at pics). Can anyone give me more details about the glove storage and engine cover.

Thanks

It was added to a lot of the later cars by the owners in order to clean up the engine bay a little.

968 CS had 944 door cards, (non-airbag) dashboard. Single radiator fan on CS without A/C (same set up as 951 Cup car).

Mine is a 93 & has clear PS reservoir, thougth I,ll share pics of my interior I,ve redone the matts from grey to charcoal, since i din't like the grey one that much. Also has both heated seats option but think it was pretty normal on Canadian cars. Was trying to show the clear reservoir on the last pic (but din't came out very good).

There was also a rear engine bay cover that was also removed from the 94.5-95s. Not quite as noticeable as the front. The mounting of the front cover uses a bracket off the fender well on both sides. Take a look at what is holding the cover, it was added. BTW, I have all the vehicle details for the 95s. PM me the last three digits of the VIN and i can tell you about the car. Porsche only produced 1 canadian 1995 coupe and it doesn't have the cloth seats. Are you looking at a US car?

There was also two different front engine covers.
The earliest ones had a glove on the door, the later ones did not.

Is assume the rear engine cover that can be seen in ernie9468's engine photos is the one you're speaking of jeff968. Very helpful and great timing on your pictures ernie9468. The car I'm looking at is an American car. It has the front cover in place with the glove compartment but does not have the rear cover in place. Thanks for your help guys. Does anyone have photos of the two different door panel that were mentioned in this thread? I know its only a single vinyl piece difference but I can't seem to turn up great pics (or I'm just not seeing the difference). Thanks again all, fingers crossed I soon become more than a lurker..... and enter ownership stage.

The difference in door panels can be seen in Ernies pics.
Notice the arm rest. Latter cars did not have the extra piece of material.

The rear covers pop up from time to time. Not very expensive.
