Both my 94 and 95 have snaps might be different in the Coupes

Another option is a pair of donor seats.
I installed a set of donor seats (12way, heated, supple leather with Porsche crests in headrest) from a 993 Turbo into my 95 968 cab.
The seats were perfect, $1600 + $200 shipping for the pair, from a Porsche salvage yard. Direct bolt in.

my '95 Coupe has the crappy velcro. A couple other late 94.5+ cars i've looked at also had the Velcor. Might be a Coupe thing.

Having sport seats already, it would be a much easier option to send mine out to get converted. $1,800 was a great deal by the way!

Yeah, I suppose you could do that but I have yet to see an example. What the option is commonly used for is to make the 968 more practial inside. For example, cashmere interior cars have a lots of black along with their cashmere seats, door panels, and carpets. Since the cashmere carpet is so light it will easily get dirty so a few optioned the cars out with black deviating carpet which is much more practical and held up better and still looks fine with the rest of the cashmere interior. I've only seen deviating carpet used in this way. Here's another example on an amethyst cab. The carpet should be light gray which would get dirty the day after you purchased it new. The much darker magenta is a much more practical choice.

Here is the deviating interior on my dad's coupe. Can't see the supple leather real well though. I don't think it would look nearly as good with gray carpet. Someone did good to order it like this.

His '92 cab is all dark blue everything inside and it just doesn't seem as nice. Too plain

My interior is that same color minus the deviating carpet. My carpet is light grey with deviating dark blue floor mats.

Do you have a picture? Would like to see that. Were the blue mats factory?

Late 94 coupe here with snaps. Also Iris Blue exterior with the blue and gray interior, like the pic minus the supple leather in the seats and I too have the gray carpet rather than the deviating blue.
BTW late 94 means Feb 94 build date, 993 style seats, etc.

Here's the marble grey/black without the deviating carpet.

Here's marble grey/midnight blue WITH the deviating carpet option in midnight blue. The same as Mike's dad's coupe.

Alright. Sorry for (perpetuating) the thread-jack. I just want to get this interior business sorted out.

Jeff - In that pic you posted of the magenta car, I want to know what was ordered, what is optional, and what was factory? I.e., if you wanted to walk into a dealer in 1994 and order that exact car, what would you say to the dealer? Is the wheel and dash top purple because the paint is purple?

I think what I want is a black interior with deviating gray carpet (well I want an all-black interior but I'd rather not pull carpets). What would that order look like?

i'm the 3rd owner. The 2nd owner bought the car like this as well. I can't say for sure that the blue mats were in there when the original owner purchased the car, or if he had them installed at a later date.

here is a crappy pic of the interior in its original state when i purchased the car. My car is an early '95 Coupe (718 car)

I'm okay with the thread jack. Eventually someone's going to post a pic of a car, followed by the words "for sale" and a price somewhere around 10k. Since most cars here are pretty well taken care of, I'll be happy. :P

From what I can see, that interior has two interior options:

1) Deviating carpet in matching magenta as opposed to light grey
2) Seat pipeing

The rest of what you see is standard for a code VG magenta/light grey interior. You can find magenta interiors with many other exterior colors including white and silver and they still have the same dash and wheel.

Amathest, and magenta interiors were only offered in 92 and 93 (although you can find some reVINed 93s as 94s).
