Good catch. Only 21 NA cabs were produced in F9 Amethyst and that is one of two with the black top and interior (both are tips) and one of 3 94s (color was only available from 92-94.5).

Oh yes, and you should see Amethyst when it is paired with a "matching" magenta interior.i don't have the coupe stats yet, still working on them.

I've seen the lambo-doored cab in that color combo. I actually like it quite a lot.

I have one of those in that color that requires a new top -- kinda looks good with a black top. I may go that route....

A friend of mine in Germany had an amethyst 968 convertible for a while. That was an awesome car! Now he drives Carreras - a new one every 20k kms.

A friend here in Barcelona (RL nick "Pitou") has a U.S. spec one reimported to Europe back in 93 or so.

Like most dark colors, they don't look so hot when dirty but clean up very nicely.

Then again, you're not new to dark colored Porsches!

Yes, he's an engineer in Weissach. A terrible job, but someone's got to do it.

His 968 cab had a matching top - not black as shown above. I believe the interior was magenta leather.

My Ex girlfriend would kill for an Amethyst Cab. By far her fav. color. She has a '74 BMW 2002 project car which she plans to paint Amethyst once the rest of the restoration is complete.
