Front Splitter advice
Hey all,
Been thinking more about adding a front splitter. I am aware that the one from AIR is fiberglass and therefore less durable, (but I'm pretty good with fiberglass and repairs.) Is the fit okay with that one? The price seems reasonable. Is anyone using their adjustable rear spoiler? Fit and finish?
I heard there was a plastic splitter available too but can't remember where.
Anybody have a front splitter they don't want/need anymore?

Air also makes a Carbon Fiber front splitter (i have one), and either a Carbon Fiber or Fiberglas Turbo S rear spoiler.
Edit: the fitment isnt the best (as far as the rear spoiler goes), but with some work can look really good. I have both in CF. I had them both clear coated and wet sanded. They look pretty good. For the rear spoiler i left the center piece exposed CF (with clearcoat) and the sides were color coded to the rest of my car (i liked the look on my buddies Mitsubishi EVO which hs the sides painted & center exposed cf from the the factory).
I had 2 fiberglass front splitters (both cracked) and then ended up going with the CF splitter. It has lasted longer then both FG units combined (knocks on wood). I stick with the cheaper AIR splitters because regardless of which splitter you use, they are bound to crack at some point; especially if your car is lowered. The front overhang on these cars makes it nearly impossible to get into most driveways without scraping the front splitter.

When I first purchased my cab it had a poly splitter on it, it was easy on the speed bumps and curbs but was a failure on the high speeds.
I would prefer to fix something that failed every now and than than live with something that failed everyday!

If you want something more durable then fiberglass that still wont flex at high speeds like the oem poly splitter, buy a carbon fiber splitter.

Not sure if this Rennlist Sponsor makes them for 968s, or, if you want a new one. But I know tons of 944T guys who bought his, and they rave about it. I'm going to be getting one myself sometime in the future. Good luck.
