bump for update on most beautiful 4 cylinder front engine P-car in history of world.
is that really a 5 gallon tank ? seems like about 10 litres would be perfect.
Yes, I'm planning to install a dry sump system. The oil tank is in the passenger footwell/battery location as you can see in this photo:
I welded mounts in and am using Peterson's 5 gallon tank. The line from the tank to the oil pump will pass through the right side body member.
More pictures on Reutterwerk.

s2 or 951S
I just ordered a guard gt 50/80Lsd and i'm not sure what would be the best transmission to put it in ,i have both an non lsd s2 transmission and an 951aor one .hope anyone can help me decide .I know the s2 trans has schorter gearing but do i realy need that in a 400hp/500Nm car with a total weight of 1050kg ,I mostly race more twisty tracks where max.top speeds are under 140mph.

You should pick your transmission based on the track you plan to race the most. Talk to guys with both the s2 and aor boxes with similar cars and see who likes their gearing for turns leading to longer straights.
You can lower the effective ratio of the aor box by swapping in the ring and pinion from the s2. Here's one thread about it, but there are plenty others if you search the 951 board.

Next race is in Assen (Holland) on may 9th.(It's my first race with this car)
Those mirrors as al other bodyparts where suplied by RNR motorsport.
@patrick ,I first considered to put the gt2 style wide body kit on, but i think it's better to stay close to the original

need advice from 964/996 owners
I recently had an offer on my car and i'm considering to acccept it.The reason i would sell it is because i not only like to race p cars i also like building them and since this one is finished there is nothing to build at this moment .For those who would suggest to start a second project and keep this one.....I have a wife and I'm short off funds to finance such a project .If i do start a new project i'm considering a 964 or 996 race car because i'm getting sick and tired off the remarks that this 968 is not a"real" porsche and that any 911 looks way better ,I know this discussion is pointles but we can't argue that it is always easier to sell any 911 without lossing loads of money.
Now I hope someone out here who had the change to own and/or race both an 968/944turbo and an 964or996 racecar can share there experiences with me and give me some hands on advice.

Flipo, congrats. Hopefully you have a good buyer on your hand. It takes a special person to appreciate what you have done with this car. Only a select few would be willing to pay it's fair value. Hopefully, you have found that person.
Good luck and swing by often.

i saw this car for sale a few weeks ago on one of the euro pages and almost cried. but for some people it's the journey (the car build) that they love the most. ok, but you always pull for the person who invested the time and the money building it; that they would be able to enjoy what they built. also hope *(the third rail of the 968 Turbo forum) that the powerplant didn't play a role in the decision to sell the car....
