Default Check Out teh cool headlight config on Eric Krause's 968 racer

Crusin the Race Car classifieds I came up on a car Eric was selling- very cool by the way, may consider buying his 951- anyway on his web page is his 968 racer with this very trick, good looking and functional headlight setup. The clear covers look great, and the yellow is very enduro- VERY COOL. check out his page and cars for sale... http://www.teamekr.com/951forsale.htm

Thought I'd share- Mike

Mike - the 951 has your name all over it.

Here are the headlights in action from a 12 Hour race a couple weeks ago.

that's a pretty nicely farkled 944t for $10K, don't know how long that splitter would last on the street, but it might be better than taking a nice 968 to the track ..

best,

I'm not sure if "farkled" is good or bad. The splitter clears a couple of speed bumps and angled drives on the way to work so it does work on the street but obviously you have to be careful.

Eric, it's an old BMW biker term, kind of like accessorized. You have a lot of nice updates on that 951...

Wish I could use those yellow lights on the street...

Not a thing Jason, just that you want to tear everything out of your nice road car to lighten it up...

Best regards,

Hey Erik,

what kind of lights are those? The pair in each side fit very nicely. Is one for the high beam and one for the low beam?

They are 90mm Hella headlamps. I run 2 high beams per side for night racing but it could be setup for hi/low beams.

They are from here:

Sweet looking headlights, really updates the car...
So, does anyone sell that style headlight kit or is it diy?
Thinking about a 968 but I would want to do this headlight conversion on it...
