968 chassis soon to be available
#31
Well, over a year later, I finally found the time and motivation to get the motor pulled form the 968. My work has been keeping me overly busy the past year and many house projects took precedence over the 3.0L turbo build so, needless to say, things have not moved as quickly as I had hoped. Anyway, I still need to pull out the ABS controller but the chassis is about ready to be offered for sale. I will post a proper sale ad with all details of what will be offered soon.

I still have not decided what will go with the roller yet so that is a little hard at the moment. Hopefully I will have this all sorted out in the next week or so. I did not want to post a price and not be able to let potential buyers know exactly what they are getting for their money. I just posted an update to let everyone that might be interested know that I am moving forward with the sale at this point. Sorry for the delay.

Sorry about the long delays with updates on this chassis. Work has had me quite busy. Anyway, it appears my brother-in-law wishes to purchase the chassis for a LS1 conversion so it is sold at the moment. I will let you all know if the chassis becomes available again. Thank you.

The 968 chassis ended up not going to my brother-in-law. That sad situation ended up taking a turn for the better as one of our very own rennlist members desperately needed a new chassis for his race car. Needless to say, the chassis went to a good home and will live on in all of its 968 glory as a very nice track car.

apparently not. i got a headache reading this thread... i do like the idea of 968s being raced but since my immediate thought of the car being ready for an LS engine, and then op even mentioning that that would indeed be it's intended use, i now have to pull rank and admit far greater disappointment that this car could have had a v8... if only xschop could have known about the availabilty of such a lovely donor car. truly a sad day for this lovely kit car.
