Default RE: Looking for a p/s rack

Guys,

I'm thinking of converting my car back to power steering and so I'm looking for a power steering rack to install in my car.

I've swapped out to manual steering a few years ago, when I committed to racing, and I'd like to try p/s again in the race car.

Anybody have one they are interested in selling?

I have the manual rack set-up, so if there's any interest in that, I may be open for some bartering too.

Jason

I have a rack, pump, and rebuild kit I'd be willing to swap.

Michelle,

I'm interested...what year is car is it from? How old is it? Are you looking for tie rods, too?

You can send me an E-mail if you'd like...flamthrowr@aol.com

Thanks!

Jason, mine just sold on ebay. Bummer, would rather it had gone to another 968 driver....

I bought one from GAD in Georgia. Paid a few hundred for it and came complete right down to the mounting hardware. I've used it for 10 track days and it's been perfect. All hoses were replaced.......

Good luck.

Mine's an 86. I'd probably buy new tie rods - the front end is getting a little worn. Pump and reservior are already off the car.

I'm on my way up to court and won't be available until late morn or early afternoon.

I have an 87 951 rack that probally needs a seal kit. The kit is cheap and not hard to do. I am pretty sure it is the same as my 95 968 unit. I'll let it go chaep. PM also sent

cheers- Mike

I've sourced a p/s rack, and the conversion is in progress!

Should be done for the next race.

Michelle,

Let me try out the feel of power steering at my next event, then I'll decide if I really like it, or if I prefer the manual.
