Factory 968 Turbo for sale in Germany ...
I've just found this 968 TRS for sale in Germany:
And here is the link: http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/sh...en&tabNumber=1
The advert specifies that tha car is a 94 model with 100,000km on the clock and the vin is WPOZZZ96ZRS890061
Something says to me that this is not original?!? Anybody know anything about this actual car as the interior simply doesn't look right with the seats and the fact that it comes with the armrest which should be deleted?
As for the price: EUR 109,900
Cheers,
Mark

Interesting ; this S was for sale on PistonHeads until a couple of days.
Some years ago this shop had the other blue turbo S that was in France ; they seem to have fairly interesting 924/944/968 for sale every once in a while.

I just noticed the guy who put this Becker radio unit in there must have great taste - I put the same one in my turbo.
On the S the final exhaust part of the exhaust line features the triangular-sectioned muffler (as on NA 968) from which pipes are dual up to the final muffler, then dual again until the exit as can be seen from the picture.

Whether or not the factory considers it an "option", since a sunroof was built into a 968 unless requested, most people refer to sunroofs as standard and a solid roof as sunroof delete.

Most people in the US do as you have been used to have this device (and AC too) as standard fitting for quite much longer than anywhere else in the world, but in EU a sunroof is not (yet) a standard fit by today's standards.

I think what Thom is saying is how most manufacturers like to spec their cars for NA market. It makes them much more marketable. Go to a BMW dealer and ask for a car without sunroof and they will frown even if they have to build it. They are afraid that if you lease it, once its returned, it will be a pain to move it because of no sunroof.
Most manufacturers spec US cars with options that we consider standard, sunroof, pwr windows/locks, crusie etc, yet they are not standard equipment for the ROW.

IIRC the 924/944 series had the sunroof as just about standard equipment. While it had an option code it was not a cost option. But when the 968 came out the sunroof mysteriously became a cost option - despite the fact that just about every one made had it, and you had to specifically order it deleted to avoid the cost.
Ahh... capitalism.
