I dont see VIN stickers on the fenders of cars in the ads. Perhaps it is just the picture.

Where did the factory put the VIN stickers on the fenders, and where else does one look?

Both doors by the latch?
Quarter by the door latch?
Hatch - where?
Rear bumper - where?
Front bumper - where?
anywhere else?

I don't think 968's have them like 944/951's did.

I've found it in four places on my '94:
Driver's side A-pillar (visible through the windshield from outside)
Drivers side door, rear edge, under the latch
Firewall in front of the battery
options sticker in the back cargo area under the carpet, next to the hatch latch.

John, in 951's if I remember correctly, the front fenders came with a sticker with a vin on them. This is how you could tell if there had been any body/paint work done to those cars. I don't ever remember seeing these stickers on a 968 fender.

I've seen a VIN plate on euro 968s on the passenger side inner fender. As for NA cars, we have the rivets where they would go but no plates. As for VIN locations on the body here is what I know:

1) On the A-pillar, driver's side
2) Engine compartment, passenger side, next to firewall.
3) I have had white stickers with just the VIN on the passenger side door jam, next to the quarter, on both of my cabs.
4) Driver's door, VIN sticker on door jam
5) Vehicle information sticker, stuck to floor or taillight panel on driver's side, under carpet, has VIN.
