Default left rear banana arm/trailing arm

Need rear left side "banana" arm, would purchase both left and right rear if you have both.

Thanks.

Try German Auto Dismantler's in GA. They usually have a plethora of 968 and 944 parts in stock and are very reasonable.

Hi Joe,

What's a plethora? Do I really need one of those??

I actually purchased this chassis from G.A.D. back in '95!

Lately I have bought some 968 pieces from Oklahoma Foreign. Fair prices and quick shipping too!

Doing any racing? Missed you at Lime Rock.

Rich,
The 968 arms have an improved retainer for the bearing at the stub axle (bolted on plates vs the huge snap ring in the 951/944 parts). Otherwise I believe the ABS arms are identical. There will be different bushings for M030 vs non-M030 arms as well.
HTH.

Julian,

How are you?

Raj had a pair of control arms off a relatively low miles car. I bought both (L&R) from him but will replace just my cracked left side for now (hairline crack running the length of the cylinder was detected while replacing the rear wheel bearings) .

Richard

P.S.: Is your turbo project moving ahead?

Richard,

Glad you found 968 arms. I think they are better with the improved bearing retainer. Certainly easier to manage than the large snap ring.

Making some progress--currently waiting on wing mounts from Scott Gomes to cut slots in the rear, then I'll have fewer excuses to get the car to the stripper. Does a new granddaughter count as a suitable excuse? I'll have to say she does!

Half the fun of the car is the journey.

Grandchildren are a hoot Julian.

We don't have any of our own yet, but I do get to play with my paralegal's 2-year old granddaughter. Thanks to her "uncle Richard", little Kaylee knows all of the Beach Boys tunes and her favorite toy car (she's got a few) is a black Carrera GT!
