Very strange Ad. Shows pictures of a complete transaxle and cv shafts but the Ad says LSD. Wonder if its the price for the full unit or just the LSD from it.
Strange.

Backward? Who here has deleted their airbag steering wheels, huh? Who has put on heavier wheels than stock?
What's wrong with backward? Not everyone considers forward to be better-ward. Personally the only thing I like about the 6-speed is the acceleration help. But if I'm going to go turbo then I won't need the minuscule acceleration help of a short gearbox, especially if running low boost it won't matter that the 6-speed helps keep boost better. On the other hand the 6-speed has some annoying aspects, like I have to do more shifting in city driving, and I often accidentally put the shifter into the R gate when trying to downshift into 2nd. Really, the only thing that bothers me is the left-hand reverse, and it really bugs me.
I'm reverting the motor to an 8v turbo with a 951 bellhousing. I also currently have 951S wheels and a 944 scissors-style jack to replace the worthless stock 968 jack. Call it backward if you like... But the car will be faster than most other 968s.

Fair enough. I would think the airbag is more a safety thing that I don't have much confidence in after 13 yrs.
Heavier wheels, you got me there! Even though lightweights are very light, they can't compete with factory 16's.

+1 on going backwards for the jack. When I put a jack in my car (I usually dont carry a spare or a jack) for long trips I bring the scissor jack. It is allot safer.

Not just factory 16s, but the 951S club sports. The lightest 16" late offset wheel there is, baby
I tried using the 968 jack once. It was raining hard that day. The jack would keep working it's way out from under the car. I knew it would slip if I jacked high enough, but I was desperate. I jacked it higher and higher and I was almost high enough to dismount the wheel. Then is slipped, the car fell down, and the jack was wedged nicely into my rocker panel. The car now has a fat gash right there. The jack is awaiting execution. I plan to either smash it with the sledge hammer and then throw it in a restaurant dumpster for a nice juicy death... or sell it on ebay.
I was in a little bit of a cranky mood yesterday
