Default Right rear sitting lower than left - Torsion Bars?

OK, in my ever-expanding list of things to fix on this car, I am now concerned about the rear suspension. The right rear sits about an inch lower than the left, but after I brought it to my local Porsche mechanic I thought there was no issue. He initially thought the torsion bars might be broken but after a drive and an adjustment in the rear he felt there was indeed no issue.
But, after driving the car for a few weeks now the right rear has settled back down (it was equal height to the left after the adjustment).
Any ideas? It looks like it will be quite a job just to inspect the torsion bars given their location and housing.

Again, appreciate your insights.

Cheers

GD

Make sure the eccentric height adjuster is not loose. The adjustment by your mechanic should have held, but if it came loose it would drop back down.

OK, I will do that immediately. Does this sound like it could be a bigger issue, or in other words, are the torsion bars known to break or wear out?

Thanks Chris.

If they broke it would probably be obvious since it would handle like crap. Highly unlikely that they are broken. Springs dont "wear out".

The RR seems to sag more over time, or at least that's what I've seen on my cars. The ride height adjustment might have enough range left to bring it up to proper height.

Porsche designed the car suspension to sit higher on the driver's side, so when the driver sits in, the car is level.

Understand, but I have not seen anyone's car on here exhibit the same difference in ride height as my vehicle... and it also settled back down over the last few weeks (drove it hard Saturday, which instigated my concern because it appeared to settle the suspension back down).

It still handles brilliantly, so I guess it is merely an adjustment issue.

Thanks again Gents.

Well, as it is officially snowing and freezing cold here, I am unable to get underneath the car to investigate. BUT, I am looking to get the alignment done this weekend, do you think I can trust the shop to adjust the right rear up?

The other option is to get the alignment now and adjust the rear later, but I fear that I will need another alignment afterwards...

Thoughts?

GD, you need a special tool to adjust the rear. If the shop has it, then you are ok, if not, you need to find a different shop.

Yes, in order to get the full alignment, you need a special tool. You might be better off searching for a independent that specializes in Porsches.

Where I live there is only one mechanic who works on Porsches, aside from the ridiculous dealer, but he does not do alignments...

What exactly is the special tool?

It's a thin 36mm wrench if I'm not mistaken...

There is a tool for adjusting toe that looks like a bolt.
