Adapters? I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

I have new Dunlop SP8000's on the front and noticed that they don't sell this model any longer. If I am buying (four??) new tires -16" - what would be a good buy? I hated the Avons, and the Michelin Pilot Sports were awesome, but they stopped making them in 16" as well. Perhaps it's time to step up to 17". Anyone selling rims in that size with reasonable rubber already mounted that'll bolt on to my 968?
I've only tested two Khumos. The Ecsta Supras were great but they are n/a. So I bought Khuno Ecsta ASX's and they were awsome for the rain and daily driving. Don't doubt it because the price. I mean, the 968 is around 15k and the Infinity G35 is what 40k? And which is faster? Just give'em a try. I will also recommend Bridgestone Potenza's RE750's, but only for Summer driving and autocrossing.

Does this apply to rear rotors as well ?
Can one fit 968 M030 rear rotors on a 951S ?
I think so but I'm not sure ...

Yes Thom, they are identical rotors but with cast drilling and lots of $$ added to them. They do look the business .

Raj do you mean "cross drilled"? I think rotors are forged/billet not cast.

Stew,

As Raj said, you'll need adapters to mount the 928 calipers. Our mount from the side, the 928/big reds all mount from the top.

I have always heard them to be cast drilled. I could be wrong.

Cast holes is correct for factory parts. Cheaper drilled rotors tend to crack.

Even the factory cast holes will crack when subjected to track use. I'm not a big fan of cross drilled rotors no matter how they're manufactured.

Thanks for the clarification Steve. My take on cross-drilled rotors - taken from feedback rec'd in this forum - is that they are more show then go. For street driving and the occasional AX, regular rotors are ample. I noticed that all F1 cars have slotted rotors. I've also read that slotted rotors - as well as drilled rotors - may eat thru your brake pads a a little faster. Urban myth?

Will the 928S4 Calipers mounted with adaptors fit inside a 16 inch wheel?. If you do the upgrade do you need to change the bias to the rear?

You can use a 928 5/33 brake bias valve .

Only certain wheels like 951S wheels. You should upgrade to brake bias when going to bigger brakes, ie big reds or 928GTS. For 928S4 calipers, the factory kept the same stock brake proportioning valve as standard brakes.
