What's your car's a$$ look like? What could be done to make our car's rears look even cooler? Do you prefer stock? Plain? Custom numbers? or?

Belly button cover. No, don't laugh. Bumperplugs sells key hole covers that you can order in your body color. Buy one, shave the insert that goes in the door handle key opening, and fit it in the hatch key opening. I really makes the rear of the car look better. Bumperplugs can also body color the bumperettes, I have seen on some colors and it looks great.

A few suggestions to update the 968:
  • Paint the rear bumper pads gloss black to match the car
  • Paint the Porsche logo and 968 to match the brake rotors

Is it possible to get the 968 logo numbers off w/o breaking them?

Definitely, use dental floss to pry them off. Works like a charm.

I like them stock. IMHO, I think they got it right at the factory.

Dental floss! Brilliant! To reattach I'd use silicone but I know that's not really good for paint, so I'll let someone else suggest something better.

Chris used a sharpie to rocolor his 968 logo and I just did mine yesterday - worked very well. Though if you wanted to change the color I guess they'd have to come off!

Changes to the bum(per):
Depends on what kind of look you like. If you want it to look modern, I say paint the bumperettes and slightly smoke the tail lights.
If you like clean looks, then delete the bumperettes and make it euro style. Maybe you or someone could make replacement bumperettes that simply mimic and continue the shape of the bumper, in toward the USA license plate.
DaveG LED 3rd brake light is cool too!

I have removed my rear bumperettes and made a plate to cover their mounting holes.

Smokie, that looks cool! Have you considered painting them silver?

Thanks! I think it goes well with ROW front turn signals.

I have considered running a small batch to offer others.
I may list some on the other forum in the next week or so.

Only there, or here too? I don't go there as often, and I'd be interested.

While we're at it, I'll offer to convert anyone's 3rd brake light to LEDs for $10 if you want. I can use LEDs as bright as the stock bulbs, or super bright photon cannons.

We don't have to worry about the bumperettes out here.

I have used double sided tape in the past but supposedly there are other products in the market specifically made for this. Its something I will be doing to the turbo in the near future so I will let you know what I found.
