Why coolant to the throttle body?
What is the purpose of the coolant line to the throttle body in a 968 engine? Can this circuit be eliminated without ill effects?

The plumbing through the throttle body is to prevent the linkage from icing up. It also warms the incoming air column, which is undesirable in summer months and/or for racing.
