Yeah, it doesn't have the correct hood latches-it has the US hot rod type with the pins and wire loops. But were they Kinesis Supercups like mine? I seem to remember them as Speedline's or Speedline replicas.

They are the speedline replica's from kinesis. They don't make those anymore.
They moved away from the hood latch setup in its current form.
I think its a good buy if you can get it for high $20's.

My mechanic (and friend) who has worked on all my 951's has built 2 or 3 968 Turbo's here in the L.A. area. I keep meaning to go over there and take some pictures and maybe do a write-up, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I think he has turbocharged the 16-valve engine and also put 8-valve 951 engines into a 968. I've thought about finding a nice donor 968 and turning it over to him. But then I've thought about a lot of things....

I looked at that car a long time ago - before I bought mine - and at that time they were asking $27,000 for it. I see the price is higher now for some reason. I really like the look of the car but when I asked the sales guy to fax me the specifications they faxed me the wording from the Excellence article with my current Kelly Moss Racing car. So I called Kelly Moss to see if they built a duplicate car in midnight blue and they said they didn't even know the car. When I tried to confront the sales guy about sending BS specifications (for example the list they sent me said the car was running a Motec) he didn't return my call. The fact it is still there after nearly 2 years doesn't make the car that attractive any more - especially since they upped the price by about $10K.

Don't know the issue numbers, but the June 1999 Excellence featured a 968 Turbo conversion by Kelly Moss in speed yellow with riveted fender flares and a beautifully louvered hood.

LDP, that is Solo's car. This turbo was featured in Excellence that has a 1994 964 3.6 SY turbo on the cover page.
