Just keep in mind I had issues with the Dynapack giving goofy readings-twice. I had no issues with a Dynojet. We did two dyno days at Deman's place, and I got weird torque peaks and the hp peak were way off. I'll try and dig up the charts tonight at home.

Smokie, well ofcourse. Everyone is welcome. I will try to iron out some details and post some potential dates.
Damian, they have a mustang dyno. Also, based on my conversations with the manager and looking at Rich's numbers, looks like they have things sorted out. I think the problem with your previous experience was that they might have used the wrong gear or wrong information which gave extremely low numbers.

Something was awry, because even the revs at which I was getting peak hp and torque were way off, and the chart looked different from every 968 dyno I had ever seen. DeMan swore up and down he had the right data plugged in, but we never got it figured out.

Damian,

The dyno at Paddock is a Mustang (in-the-floor unit). You'd better come since you're the guy that got me into a 968 to begin with (you trouble maker).

Smokie,

If you're coming up from Maryland and that part is still available, we can conduct our transaction then. Let me know.

If I'm around and not traveling I'll make sure I attend. Rich, that was a long time ago up in the Palisades, I had my grey coupe then.

Okay, this is what we are looking at so far. The following 2 dates are open.
Aug 11th and Aug 25th.
Each car gets 3 pulls. Strapping and 3 pulls takes approx 30-40 mins per car.
What we need to figure out is which date works best for most people. Ideally, we get a minimum of 8-10 people/cars. Also, I was thinking we try to make this a 968 gathering.
One of the main reasons to try to keep it open for 968's is that allows for more head to head comparison between cars. Also, it would require less changes in input that would need to made by the operator.
So guys, who is in and for what date?

August 11th is best for me...I'll be at Watkins Glen on the 25th with a Metro NY DE.

I'll be in charge of bringing the Sausage, too...We're working on a new product, and I need some guinea pigs for some feedback!

A word of caution to potential attendees:

I have eaten Jason's product before - he supplied the brats for a Metro/NY post-track BBQ at WGI last year - they were OUT OF THIS WORLD!

So, if you don't want to experience some of the best sausage you have ever tasted, do not attend the 968 Dyno Day & BBQ @ Paddock Performance (or, you can come and just don't eat the sausage, which is okay too - more for me).

Actually Aug 25 is better for me, but may be able to make 11. All this assuming I don't blow 'er up at WGI week before with NNJR!

Jazz,

It's an easy drive down the Thruway, exit at West Nyack, Route 303 North to Route 9W North and you're there. Est. travel time from Albany 2:15 (max).

Although I am in Virginia, I will be either on my way to or from Cape Cod on those dates so depending on the timing I would like to be there. I really haven't attended any 968 events so this would be a chance to meet some of you knuckleheads ... I mean you guys.

So count me as a definite maybe for now and I will confirm next week.
