The part number from the dealer for 968 glass is 944-541-011-14.
Just curious if anyone can check if 944 glass is the same (afterall Part no. starts with 944...)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 944 and the 968 use the SAME GLASS!!!???
They are listing the same part numbers for 944 and 968. Coupes have different glass than the cabs. All appear to be interchangeable.

Please someone tell me that my eyes aren't playing tricks on me!
This is nice because I have two chips in my windsheild and I'd like to get new glass.

Late 944 with airbag and 968 should have the same glass. Cabrios should be the same 944/968, but different than 944/968 coupe glass. Shorter. Likewise the other glass, cab glass should be the same 944 to 968 and coupe 944/968 but coupe <> cab. Door windows are shorter and have the wing window in the cab.

I used the same that are in the links of my post. They list oe Porsche glass. I simply Googled the part number brianh supplied and that's what it came up with. So, the site that I'm using as a reference could be wrong. I don't know.
I had gone to American Auto Glass about a month ago and they could not get the glass. So I was hoping that this was a loophole.
Just like to be sure.
Thanks.

Just checked again, the last two numbers in the part numbers are different. I think the 968 glass is a bit wider and taller, it sure seems like it when you look at the two cars side by side.

I'm getting my windshield installed on Friday - so I'll let you know how it goes. Again the glass was ordered from a Poirsche dealer with the part number in my earlier post. The brand is Sekurit afterall....

woundn't you know it... pulled into the glass shop & then noticed the new windshield had the built-in antenna, which is meant for cabs. What a let down.
Porsche dealer is trying to tell the glass shop that Porsche has discontinued the coupe glass and the cab (antenna) version is all that's available. That was never made clear when the glass was ordered & sounds like a crock... Anyway - there's an e-mail into Porsche NA to see if there's way to get couple glass.
Since insurance is covering it I'm not too concerned about price - so long as I get the right glass.

Brianh,
That sucks. At least you had the sense to see if it was the right glass before the job got done! The cab glass is totally different from the coupe glass. How did you go about having insurance pay for the glass? Let us know how it works out.

I have seen a few coupes with the built in antenna like the cabs and they have had their windshield replaced. It is possible that the coupe glass is NLA. I think the only difference is the addition of the antenna in the glass, other than that they fit the same.
