Default GRM Ultimate Track Car Challenge

Just got the word - I'M IN

Thanks to all the RLer's that voted and kept me on the front page for over 2 months I'll do my best to bring home the bacon. Now, I have to blow my budget and order up some Hoosiers

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about see:

I'm willing to bet that I will have the biggest 4-cylinder engine of the group

Sounds like a safe bet. One of my friends with a 2.5L S2000 is in as well. I assume you are in the individual category.

Yes, independent study/JV. Is your friends car NA? If it's forced induction (which I remember one being), then he would be in varsity, not JV.

Nope he is NA, he got rid of his super charger and did the 2.5L instead so you'll be up against him in JV I imagine. PM'ing you the link.

He's got a competitive car! There's also a hot CX that likely got an invite. My biggest issue is going to be that I've only been to VIR once and we ran the full course, not the North which is what we will run in the event

Probably not, it's a long haul from B'ham and I've got a busy summer

Chin Motorsports will be there July 4-5 on the Full Course. I am planning to be there with them.

Congrats on making the cut Tim and Good Luck!

Thanks Mike - And yes, after Jim posted I did a search to see who was running at VIR before GRM. The weekend after the 4th is the BMW group (North Course), which is now full. The only other good event would be Chin, I'm guessing my wife would kill me as we have already scheduled a pool party on the 4th. I may just see if I can sign up with NASA for the open run sessions that are occurring that day (Friday of the GRM Challenge) and get as much practice as possible. The problem is that with the heat in July, the best runs should come in the morning.

You are not the only one who has not run the north course, my friend has not either. Of course I'm not even sure if he made it back from his alignment last night- driving on R compounds in heavy thunderstorms is not good.

I'm sure you'll do fine but practice would not hurt.
