Progress? NA 275hp-300hp
A few months back their was posts about some garages trying to get somewhere near 300hp on NA motor. Does anyone know if any progress or results have been made? I am very interested to see if this option is available in lue of going to forced induction.

Ok, ok I know dyno's will probably say other wise so hold your fire. But stock 238hp
Sparkplug wires 2hp
Chip 15hp
Exhaust 15hp
Airbox mod 5hp
K&N filter 5hp
Isn't that 280hp?
Obviously after an exchange with RS barn for a stage 2 head.

Lord, we plan to do some modifications to Damian's car soon. We are expecting to get close to that 280hp number. Our tuner's head alone will get us documented additional 30hp!
I will keep everyone posted. We will make sure we share it openly with others.

In reality, all the modifications you do to the car work synergistically, combining to give you one set increase in power. You can never point to just one component and claim that it is giving you X power gain.
Example:
You could do the airbox mod, dyno, and get a 10hp gain.
Then go with a stock airbox, but a performance chip, and get 17 hp.
The you could go with everything stock, but different head, and get 15hp.
Then do an exhaust mod on a stock car and get 5hp.
(Just throwing around semi-real numbers here!)
The problem is, all these modifications, when done together, work off of each other and combine to create a new "system power" number. The above modifications may seem like 47hp on their own, but put them all together, dyno it, and you'll be more likely to see maybe 35hp out of the new "system". At that point, it will be impossible to tell how much gain each individual component is giving you- only that this combination of upgrades is good for 35hp.

After speaking with Pete, from RS Barn, he feels that 280 is achievable! it really depends on the condition of the vehicle, and the milage. I will be speaking to him again soon and hope to visit his garage and discuss this upgrade a bit further....will keep posting as i know more.
