Type of Fluids Oil and Trans/Diff
Sorry for the newbie question, I just upgraded to the 968 from a 944
Recommended weight of oil (I'm in Virginia 10-20 F low and 100 F high) what do you guys recommend? I've always thought 10w30 was what 968's and 944's wanted.
I was thinking that 10w40 or 15w40 might be more ideal. Thoughts?
Full synthetic, blend or regular oil?
Transmission and diff use the same oil? I can only see what looks like one filler location and one drain.
it is a 94 968 with LSD is there additive or just different gear oil with stuff already added?
synthetic or regular.
Thanks,
Glen

I use Mobil 1 15W50 in Arkansas but do not drive the 968 is the temperature is close to freezing and our summers are warmer than yours.
If I was driving year round I would use the 15W50 in the warm and 10W40 or 5W40 in the cold.
