A little more info (I think this the right car) from 968.net
John will let his 1994 Midnight Blue Turbo S Conversion Coupe (39k on the odometer with approx 2000 miles on the Powerhaus conversion engine since 2001)go for $33K if he can get a buyer before he leaves. His car was written up in Oct 2001 issue of 911 & Porsche World ("Forced Four - Turbocharged 968", page 13). But do not dawdle - if you always wanted a Turbo S conversion but did not want to pay the bucks or do it yourself - this is your chance.

That's a very well known car to many of the East Coast 968 guys, it twice was shown at the 968.net Hershey gathering. The owner moved back to Australia, I guess it would've been too expensive to ship/tax into the country.

That would be a glory run on race gas and very high boost. When I test drove taht car 3 months back, it was set to .8 bar. Fast but not gut-wrenching fast.
A friend recently checked it out in person and maybe will post here on what he thought of the car.

Lance - if you buy that car, let me know.
I will help youget REAL power from it - enough to put your boot up Joe's ***....
That car is 35 minutes from my house.
.....just make sure you mount a camera on the rear bumper so you can film the C6 ZO6's

I think the big red flag with the car is inconsistent compression as well as low compression across the board. Having helped on a similar conversion, the cost of the car is pretty much how much it would cost to just do the engine at powerhaus.
Whoever buys the car should expect to spend between $5-7k in fixing things to get them right. Ofcourse the price goes down substantially if you can turn your own wrenches.

Three Wheelin'
I thought this was one of the early Powerhaus conversions and that only the later conversions reached 500 BHP. Does anyone know if it went back for upgrade?
I have been in Dan DeGrunchy's Powerhaus turbo which was close to 500 BHP and gut wrenchingly fast! Although the costs and maintenace issues he had with the car scare me away from this one.
