Default Interior Color code TS (Linen or Pearl, or?)

Can anyone help me figure out what color interior I have? The code says TS. I always thought it was linen but want to know for sure; I plan to restore the seats. I'm thinking that it could also be "pearl" instead of linen

I take it nobody knows? Maybe we can do process of elimination. Will someone please respond with the code for linen?

The two letter code will give you both color and material-TT is classic grey, partial leather, for instance.

Thanks, that's one step closer; the first letter designates the material and the second letter states color.

I don't know that's true, are you saying that because your car is partial leather and you figure the first T stand for that?

Correct, my car has partial leather. So, I figure the first letter denotes fabric or full or partial leather.

Check that. The first letter DOES NOT denote seat material. I checked my 951 and the code for black leather was LT. Back to square one.

968's never offered linen... according to PET anyway... I've been searching for 968 door panels in full linen to go w/100% completely linen dash for years.... never seen anything closer than light grey on the door panels & have never seen any light colors for the top of the dash either, unfortunately... doesn't make much sense, but, there you go... it's a Porsche...

I got in leather swatch samples from leatherseats.com and was hopeful that either their "Ceramic White", "Bone", or "Ecru White" would be close matches. Unfortuneately, not the case. While not really darker than any of the above, my car does have a SLIGHTLY grey-er hue.

In some light , the interior looks creamy colored or even a very light tan, sometimes white, and in other light it looks very light gray.

In hours of websearching last night, I've ruled out cashmere grey and probably linen. So, "Light Grey" is still a possibility. Only, I've seen cars with a lighter grey and mine is much lighter. I have a period brochure coming in the mail, maybe that will be of help.

I did a long search the other night, and I never came across any 968 seats in linen. Moreover, it appears that the same color name can have different codes for different years. Try Worldupholstery.com. check out their color samples. That might help.

here's an idea. Go to the site above. They will send you a leather sample for free. Check the colors that best match what you think you have. Once you have them, you can make a direct comparo. What you do from there is up to you.

Unhappy

I got my samples from leatherseats.com the other day. Out of the 5 they sent, I thought 3 looked really close when I opened the package. I thought one would definitely be close enough, if not a perfect match. Of course, when I took them out to the car, I saw that none were. I certainly never thought this would be so difficult.
