Default 968 for Sale--1992 Coupe 6sp Blk/Blk LSD

Hi All--

Due to recent events, I need to sell my 92 968 that I haven't even registered yet. Black/Black, LSD, 49,000 Miles, 17" Boxster Twists, K&N Air Filter, very clean, timewarp car.

Please PM me with any interest. Looking to get $17K for it.

Thanks!

$17,000k is a great deal folks!!! I'll be asking $18,000 for mine when I sell it and it'll have double the mileage!

Thanks Rich--I actually bought it for $18,500 [higher end of the spectrum, but having full records makes a big difference in my book], so I'm losing some money on it for no other reason than I would rather not have the extra insurance payment when I wouldn't be driving it much. In the past 5K miles it had new belts, water pump, and rollers, so she should be good to run for another 30K with minimal fuss!

Cole

Looks like a really nice coupe. Wish I had the room for an extra car. I know that you looked hard to find it not long ago, then paid to have it shipped across the country. Good luck with your sale.

Now why is it that a 968 engine bay just looks so much better, cleaner, and tidyier than a 944 engine bay? I look at my engine bay, and I see a mass of what would appear to be confused hoses and wires running every this way and that, and nothing at all like the 968 engine bay, which just looks clean and pristine.

Is it that the 968 hides all the hoses and wires under plastic parts or what? Did Porsche re-design everything so that it didn't need all the hoses and wires? Inquiring minds want to know!

The vanity cover does help cover the spark plug wires, but the fuel hoses, coolant hoses, etc. are still exposed. He does have a really clean engine compartment.

All manufacturers now go through a lot of time and money in cleaning up their engine compartments now. Compare any new car to the ones from 10-15 years back and you will see what I mean.
Also, depening on the kind of induction you might need additional plumbing. Look at a 300ZX tt from 15 years back. Any nut/bolts dropped will never make it to the bottom. Very very busy.

Wow. That's a nice 968. I've always wanted one exactly like that. If I didn't need at least one AWD car, I'd love to have it. I'd sell my Evo for it in a heartbeat.

Good luck selling. Who ever buys this one is lucky.

Cole,

Nice car. I definitely think it's worth your asking price. Of course, I'm partial to black (and white) 968's. The only reason why I'm building a red 968 race car is because that's the color of the chassis I picked up from German Auto Dismantlers - so red it is . . . at least for starts.

Good luck with your sale.
