Question Option code help

Anyone heard of this option on a 968 (cab)?:

P07: Club Coupe Specification 249/P01

This was not off the options 'sticker'; rather by running the VIN thru PCNA database.

The other options were fairly normal: C02 emissions, 718 model designation, XD4 caps with crests, 490 sound package plus, yadayada.

Thanks,

Here's another one with P07:
http://carrera.porschedealer.com/pre...ntoryid=198452

I emailed PCA Website Tech Q&A, Bill Burris emailed back:

Area: 924/944/968 (1987 on)
Classification: Other
Subject: Option P07: GT Package
Question:
Could you please tell me what Option Code P07 (GT package) specified/included?
Answer:
That's a tough one. I've checked just about every resource I have and can't put my fingers on a printed document that outlines this option.

Across all the boards no one yet has come up with exactly the P07 option was.

IIRC there was a thread on 968.net where people that had this code tried to find some common options but that it never resulted in a precise list of the options included

It's a bit of an enigma, as I can find nothing about it anywhere.
It is real, as it does show up on the car's PCNA database records, and I'm sure if I purchased a Certificate of Authenticity from PCNA, it would show as well.

I've seen it on 3-4 different cabs, ranging from 92-95.

I'm wondering if it is mentioned anywhere in the workshop manuals?

i will try to investigate a bit.....however I can tell you from experience that the PCNA computer systems often shows inaccurate info for older vehicles....particularly with option codes/info.

Thanks.
I'm curious how accurate a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity would be, PAG vs PCNA records and all.

Default P07

P07 is another internal Porsche code for the AM/FM cassette player. P06 is the AM/FM CD player. i have original documentation with these codes. I don't know why they have two sets of codes numeric code 331 is am/fm cassette player as well.

I got a certificate of authenticity...and it wasn't off much but it was not completely accurate either. Mostly fluff. I'm not getting another.

They are more useful for engine/transmission serial numbers, date of production, etc.

And the options and paint/interior codes don't match up to what's in your maintenance book or in the body sticker-the nomenclature is different.

Do any of you know the interior color option codes for 1992 models? I've found exterior paint codes and other option codes but never intior colors.

My '92 coupe is Grand Prix white with leather sport seats in (I think) linen or extemely light grey (almost white-like) "bone" color. I'm thinking about dying the seats and don't know which color to order. In all my searching, Linen and Pearl are the closest match, but I don't know which is correct.
