Default Is there a fix for Sagging Sun Visors?

My sun visors are making me crazy. They no longer stay up in the uppermost position.............they drop down an inch or 2 so that they are just barely in my field of vision with the trailing edge about 2" from my forehead.......making it impossible to wear a ball cap........the visor and hat keep getting tangled up in each other.

I am about to try some self stick velcro to hold it close to the head liner,....but before I did that,....I thought I would check here to see if there is a recognised fix. ....... back in "the day" when a visor sagged, there was a pinch clamp that could be tightened to keep the visor up............

Still living in the past.

I have the same problem on my 968 and have yet to find a solution. I tried the "velcro" route but it ends up making your ceiling a mess. I also tried to rig up a wire to hold it up but no success there either. Anyone have a solution out there?

My visors are not droop in fact they are very tight. But if they were I think I would try first to epoxy a neodymium magnet to the visor where it would hold it to the top. If that was not sufficient I would add epoxy a small piece of metal or another magnet to the ceiling above the visor.

Default EASY-PASS stickem things

i used 2 of the small self adhesive plastic velcro-like windshield holders that we new yorkers & new jersyans use with our EASY-PASS toll transmitter things.

Did you try simply replacing the plastic u-shaped clips that hold them in place. Worth a try - worked for me. They are ony a few bucks each. Porsche dealers typically have them in stock as they are a common replacement item. Tend to disintegrate after a while.

Any chance of clarification as to what you did with this? You stuck the velcro to the headliner and the visor????? This does not augur well for your next coolant hose failure...

John

yes....to headliner & sunvisor.....kinda "tacky" but effective as a quick fix short of replacing with new sunvisor...

please note that my 968 is a track car and not a "Looker"

whattya think?
