Default Went on a Diet...Stuff For Sale

My car's coming back from the cage builder...as soon as the snow clears up a little.

A few things have been removed which will go up for sale...

Sunroof (red) and its motor
Trunk release motor
Sparco Torino seat (modified with a sub belt slot)
Cubby box
Analog clock
Door pockets
Assorted interior panels (black)
Air Conditioning system

I'm guessing (hoping actually!) that the weight of the cage will be almost completely offset by the stuff we're removing.

If anybody is interested, E-mail me and I'll start to get some photo's together.

Jason;

What items are you installing to make the car track ready? Sounds like your gutting the interior completely.

Have you done any DE's or Club Racing with car in stock form?

I do a lot of DE's with Metro, NNJR, Shattenbaum and others when available. I run in the Black group and I rarely see other 968's. Most of the front engine/water pumpers are 944's. It will be nice to see another 968 out there.

Regards,

Joe

Joe,

I'm also with Metro NY...and also run with other groups, too. Guess we're on opposite sides of the track at the same time! I've got a red 968.

My wife runs this car, too, and she is in the Yellow signed-off group.

We're putting in a cage this year, instead of the roll bar. We're also putting in a racing shell, instead of a reclining seat. the other stuff is just for grins and giggles.

Hope to see you out there...what color 968 are you driving around the track?

Jason;

I have a medium(Non-Porsche Color) Blue 1993 968 with extensive Mobil One and FireHawk graphics. It was a FireHawk series car that I purchased a year and half ago. I've done some cosmetic enhancing to make it as nice as possible without driving myself crazy worrying about track wear. IIt's been completely rebuilt, very well sorted and has a Dave White motor in it.

Joe

Jason,

I'm sure you've seen Joe's car, I know I have (Hi Joe). It's a pretty fast ride. Joe and I went out together at Lime Rock this past summer (a couple of months before I smushed the "black & blue special"), I was right behind him - for about 1 lap!

Anyway, we'll have to start a 968 paddock this year. Please make sure to call me when your car is back up North so I can check out that custom cage job.

Ciao.

Richard

Richard;

Did you get the car fixed? I do remember speaking with you at, I think, was Lime Rock shortly after the crash.

Yes, we talked about 10 days after the wreck. I had my 911 at Lime Rock that day.

The black car isn't repairable. I bought another 968 ('95). Car is probably too nice for the track, but right now this looks like the route I'm taking. "F" stock PCA track car.

Richard,

That white car is PERFECT for the track! It will look great shooting down the straights.

Don't be afraid of its good looks, we all love to drive good looking cars.

They go faster, too...Something about the wind showing more respect to those with nice paint jobs!

Jason
