Nice car, but I'm hoping those pictures were taken at two different times-not Cup 1's on one side, and Twists on the other!

No, before and after. I didn't notice it was two diffeent sides when i posted the pics. I have since traded the twists to a guy for a set of Roocks and I'm tring to decide what wheels to put on the 968. It's in the shop right now getting some suspension work done. I'm planning to put the Roocks on my 996. That will leave me with a set of factory chrome (dark tint) twists, the 16" cups in the picture, 16" design 90s, or I have two 18 x 10 twists that are painted midnight blue metallic. They haven't been on the car before, i just placed a dumb bid on ebay and wound up buying them. I do have two additional twists that need refinishing and could be painted to match. I could also fit the 17" Boxster wheels on the 968 I think and put 18s on the Boxster. Opinions?

The boxster wheels are usually 7" in front and 9" in the rear, where the stock 968 17's are 7.5 in the front and 9 in the rear...if you're having suspension work done the difference in wheel sizes might throw things out of whack.

I didn't notice any suspension problems between 7.5 and 7 front wheels on my 968 track car (r.i.p.).

The twists that were on it were 18 x 8 and 18 x 10s. I actually liked the way it handled and rode with the 18s. Even though the bushings were worn out. Also having cross drilled rotors and pads fitted. I should have done that myself and saved some serious dollars, but I couldn't do the suspension work and didn't really know what was wrong with the brakes. I had some high speed braking shimmy and i couldn't see anything wrong. The rear rotors were put on by PO and weren't the proper fit. As a result they were warped. I guess I'm not the car guy i thought I was. Such an elementary problem and i didn't notice. A new set of zimmermans will be nice. I'm looking forward to getting it back this week. Until I decide which wheels to use I dropped off the D90s with new tires on them. I'm sure they will ride well, and give me a feel for how the car was meant to handle, although I don't like the dated looks. We have let this car sit for most of the last 6 months. My wife has a hard time with the clutch and the 6 speed, so she would rather drive the Boxster or even one of the regular cars. I usually drive the 996. I may drive the 968 for a while and talk myself out of selling it.

Don't forget to hit the rotor cones with some hi temp paint, otherwise they will rust and look crappy in no time.

Josh,

Looks like its gonna be dinner and just hanging out a bit, if we manage to all hook up in time. I think Scott sent you a PM. You can reach me at 713-542-1262 to verify plans.

Yes, that's Mike Courtney in the #131 911. Mike is an excellent driver, and one of the best F class drivers I've raced against. However, in this particular picture, he was just passed by a 968
